In our dotage, and after many years overseas, my wife and I decided to return to England for family reasons. Our destination was to be Liverpool, the abode of choice being an apartment in a docklands converted warehouse, preferably The Colonnades at the Royal Albert Dock. On the same day that we accepted an offer for the purchase of our home we saw online just what we wanted, and where we wanted, advertised by Red Rooves. We immediately made an offer for it, physically unseen because we were unable to travel for a viewing due to Covid-19 restrictions.

What made our property review and decision possible was a Matterport interactive 3D walk-round of the apartment that enabled us to view any part of the interior by traversing each room from varying angles, zooming in and out, and we used the integral measurement tool for dimensioning zones, windows etc from which we could relate as to how efficiently our furniture would fit and where our artworks would hang. The offer we made to purchase this apartment was accepted within a very short time of submission. It was from then on a matter of communications, which were predominantly by email and excellent; responses to queries were swift and with all the information we required.

These communications frequently extended beyond the property itself because of our unfamiliarity with how things were now organised and who did what, it having been so long since we had lived in England. Robert Smith, the agent with whom we dealt, went the extra mile by making arrangements for us, putting us in contact with relevant service providers or supplying us with information that enabled us to select from alternative proposals. Our experience with Red Rooves, and Robert Smith in particular, has been exemplary.
